I am a conceptual, detail-oriented Creative Director/Copywriter/Art Director who is as comfortable leading a team as playing on one. I have been fortunate enough to work on an impressive range of brands from local hospitals and non-profits to iconic, global Fortune 500 brands whose media buys could fund Third World countries. From traditional to social--and everything in between--I have an affinity for brands that are open to leveraging unexpected media opportunities.

Currently I am the creative director for Saint Anthony Hospital. Here I create meaningful communitications internally and to the public facing community Saint Anthony serves. One of the many highlights of this position has been creating Little Tony, our mascot, who now lives and serves at the new Saint Anthony Children’s Hospital. I also develop work to support the groundbreaking concept currently under construction, Focal Point Community Campus, which will be home to our new state-of-the-future Saint Anthony Hospital.

Previously at Y&R, I was the creative lead on Hilton Embassy Suites Hotels, where we created a 360- degree campaign that positioned ESH as a family travel destination. Included were strategy development, planning, and connecting and executing creative communications across all platforms.

Besides concepting and writing I am also a seasoned art director. In addition to that I
have director experience and have also performed in live theater and an improv troupe. I
am a stronger leader having seen the creative process from various vantage points.
Allowing creative work to organically unfold produces "happy accidents" which produces
happier teams, which ultimately produces stronger, better results.

Responsibilities included developing, designing and managing global and local campaigns for McDonald’s Corporation from strategy through finished production. Managed Creative Teams while also contributed creatively. Worked on other in-house clients including State Farm Insurance and Anheuser-Busch as well as new business pitches.

Responsibilities included developing, designing and managing global and local campaigns for the Kimberley Clark Corporation from strategy through finished production. Including management of Creative Teams as well as personally contributing creatively. Also working on assignments for Dove and new business pitches on well-known brands.

Managed, developed and designed campaigns for CibaVision and Char-Broil Grills.

Developed, designed and managed campaigns for Viking Corporation, The New Stage Theater, The Jackson Bandits and Union Planters Bank. Recruited, hired and developed creative groups. Acted as on-call Director for clients to shoot TV spots in local markets.

Developed and designed print, collateral, and other pieces for Fortune 500 brands at Chicago-based ad agencies on a per-project basis. Participated in or led new business pitches. Directed and shot digital videos for ATA and Harley-Davidson.

Managed, developed and designed campaigns for Bob Evans and The American Egg Board. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, developing and overseeing group of creative talent. Directed TV spots for The American Egg Board.

Creative Director / Young & Rubicam Chicago
Responsibilities included developing, designing and managing campaigns for Old Style Dry, The Museum of Science and Industry and WXRT Radio Chicago. Directed short film showcased in Aids Awareness pitch.


Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.

Directorial skills include shooting many commercials and videos. Wrote and directed two documentaries and a screenplay. Have written and directed for the stage.

Excellent presentation skills (thanks to Second City). Toured in a comedy troupe for two years. On-stage acting experience.

Formally trained in art, painting, drawing and graphic design.

Grounded in solid, strategic thinking but gravitate toward and push for breakthrough, conceptual creative.
